Preserving the Cuyahoga River
for the next 100 Years

Late breaking news for the Center Street Bridge
As of today (May 8 2007), two new pinion shafts need to be produced.  This will take 3 weeks to be fabricated.  Estimate time of reopening is 30 days.  Randy DeVaul, Commissioner of Construction and Engineering, will be making this press release tomorrow.

Flats Oxbow strongly feels that there is a time for talk and a time to lay the hand.  The time for talk is over.  We need to figure out how to reopen Riverbed Road between Columbus and Old Detroit as an alternative route, and the sooner the better.

Voice of the Flats

Flats Oxbow Mission
To provide a forum and be the unifying force to both (a) identify and effectively represent the common interests of all "stakeholders" in the Flats, and (b) to identify and assist in resolving conflicts between various stakeholders, in order to channel the intense involvement in the area by government and outside investment interests in a manner consistent with the interests of the stakeholders generally as responsible citizens of the Flats.

Trustee Shawn Collins of Oglebay Norton has a HULL of a good time!
